Mobile phones and me.
My mobile is a just a phone for me. The way it should be. I use it to 'communicate' mostly with people I know. With having Internet on phone, makes it much more 'connect'. But that's about it.
My phone is not part of my personality, or actually have nothing to do with it. I usually keep it on silent when I am around with someone, and out of sight. I hate to spend money on buying a new phone, I want it to work as long as it can! I do not want to play fancy games on my phone, because I usually do not have that sort of time to do those things but when I do, I usually have my laptop near by. Playing games on a bigger screen is much more fun!
Having said that, I do not see people with respect to the mobile phone they may hold. A fancy/expensive phone tells me nothing about you, a part from the fact that you have spent some good money on buying a device which is of no good to me :P
I seriously want to understand what's all this hype about? What makes people spend really good money on buying such gadgets? I wouldn't call it a gadget though, since it is almost a part of our lives now, yet some of fancy ones are gadgets for sure!
I NEED YOUR INPUT ON THIS. YES YOURS!

I normally use my phone for phoning, texting, interneting, and email checking. It's nice to have a slightly bigger screen for the interneting :P
@Yes but a few inches wide for $300+ doesn't make sense, well to me at least...:P
Thanks for dropping by!
good start
@Anon: Of what? lol
I use my cell phone for the same purpose but sometimes i do want to buy a nice phone with good games.Although small screen and limited range of games but still our best companion in the load shedding hours.
@Bushra: Buying phone for playing games during load shedding is somewhat acceptable :P
Thanks for commenting!
yeah, i have had a standard samsung phone for the past four years, obviously iam considered 'old fashioned'!
my friends who have iphones do pretty much what i do, simple communication and networking.
this hype is only because of persuasive advertising that is very difficult to ignore.
@lifeasitrolls: You got that right, it is advertisement and media which is shaping our lives these days...sad situation indeed.
Thank you for dropping by!
P.S: I like your blogger id! lol
thanks tauqeer.. by the way, how do you manage so many blogs?
@lifeasitrolls: Hehe, well if you see I am not a very regular blogger anymore, so It doesn't take much of my time.
I do not force myself to write anymore...if I ever feel like posting, I usually know which blog should it go to :) rest all of them are blogger websites, 'Dashboard' helps me to keep track of them.
I have had Xpress Music for the past 3 years & I am proud of it.... though my friends always keep updating with iphones & androids ... huh just waste of good money ")
@Ice Queen: Hehe @ Xpress Music. Must have been fancy phone 3 years back ;)
I am so glad I wrote this post, I got to find so many like minded people :P

@eva: I am humbled and honoured being called a 'kid' after a real long time :D
and I wouldn't even listen anything against a laptop! We are not in stone age, are we?! lol
Thanks a million for dropping by :)
strongly agree with you here! I myself just use cell as a means of communication, nothing more nothing less. Its somewhat stupid to see students in uni showing off their flashy mobiles which hold no interest for me atleast. and ufff nothing was/is more crzy than the Iphone hype. its just a type pf complex, when people have nothing concrete in their personality to offer they try to score with their materialistic possessions.
